Language: Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, Lithuanian, Filipino, Hindi, Spanish, Russian…We want every person in our community to have opportunity and to be encouraged to become proficient in more than one language. Russian Culture program is one the newest here at The Naperville Cultural Center. Our highly educated and experienced native-speaking teacher offers the rare opportunity for you and your child to quickly learn Russian language through interactive activities based on Russian poems, songs, games, art, and traditions. Art: our newest art program for kids is “Nature-inspired art course”. Kids will experiment with fun and educational art activities with an emphasis on projects that reflect the natural world around us. Leaf paintings, sand art, nature printing, willow twig dream catchers, and other diverse and creative experiences await you. For teenagers and adults who want to learn some art and have never picked up a brush before, we have a wonderful class too. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to complete your first project. This class is geared towards the beginner. We will walk you through such essential topics as materials, value, color and composition. Plenty of individual attention!
Music :
Guitar
Do you want to play the guitar in rock, reggae, alternative, or other modern styles? Our class begins by teaching fundamentals like chords, notes, and scales, then we move on to learning the songs you enjoy. Interested students can also learn to play improvised guitar solos.
Bass
Want to learn how to hold a solid groove and create the foundation of a band? We'll teach you the music theory and technical elements you need to know to play bass in rock, reggae, funk, alternative, or other modern styles. Interested students can also learn to play improvised bass solos.
Piano
Whether you are a beginner or advanced student, we can help you along the way as you master the piano. We teach the classical note-reading approach using John Thompson's graded piano books supplemented by Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. If you want to learn other styles like blues, rock, soul, or reggae, we can teach you the music theory you need to know to play these exciting styles solo or with your own band. All ages, levels, and musical preferences are welcome.
